North Clinic is proud to announce the addition of 19 hospitalists to our staff of healthcare providers.  Our hospitalists are board certified internal medicine physicians and physician assistants certified in internal medicine.

What is a "hospitalist"?

A hospitalist is a medical specialist who provides quality medical treatment to individuals while they are in the hospital.  Because hospitalists don't maintain a private outside practice, their time is devoted solely to caring for hospitalized patients.

North Clinic Hospitalists

Your North Clinic hospitalist will care for you if you visit the emergency room at North Memorial Medical Center or if you are admitted to North Memorial Medical Center. The hospitalist will then communicate with your primary physician and will handle the management of your care during your hospitalization. Our hospitalists are very familiar with the hospital, its systems and its functions and are dedicated to providing quality care to our hospitalized patients.

Two of our established internal medicine physicians, Dr. Jerald Petersen and Dr. Kelley Salo, are joining our group of hospitalists. Our internal medicine and family practice providers will be available to assume outpatient care for their patients.
