This year, Voyage Healthcare is taking part in the 21st annual Plymouth on Parade. Grab your family and get ready to have a lot of fun at this free event featuring a parade, entertainment, activities, and more!

When is Plymouth on Parade?

Plymouth on Parade will be celebrating their 20th anniversary on Saturday, September 22, 2018. The event is free and an excellent way for families to spend a fall day together. Starting at 10:30 am, you can watch the parade take place right in the heart of Plymouth.

When: Saturday, September 22, 2018

Where: Plymouth Boulevard

Time: 10:30 am to 2 pm

The Parade Route:

Make sure to grab a spot near the parade route which spans Plymouth Boulevard (from 34th to 37th avenues). The parade includes more than 70 different units participating in this year's event. Voyage Healthcare staff members will be walking in the parade as well!

The Grand Marshal:

Each year there is a new Grand Marshal, so give a big wave and “hello!” to Mayor Kelli Slavik, who is serving her final term as Plymouth’s mayor. Slavik joined the Plymouth City Council in 1999 and was elected mayor in 2006. Weather dependent, Slavik will ride on a Plymouth Ice Center Zamboni.

Activities and Entertainment Galore

Don’t leave just yet. There is still more fun to be had from Noon to 2 pm! Once the parade is over, stick around for all the other fun, family-friendly activities. Begin your afternoon at the Hilde Performance Center with attractions like face paintings, games, bounce houses and giant inflatables, which are sure to keep your family busy all while enjoying a day visiting Plymouth Boulevard. Plus, sway to beat of live musical entertainment by Pan Dimensions, a steel drum duo performing Caribbean music.

If you’re looking for some other activities to try, next door to the Hilde Performance Center is Life Time Fitness and the Plymouth Ice Center. These locations feature free swimming, ice skating, and gyms to use.
