We are seeking a full time Medical Records Specialist to work at our Robbinsdale, MN and Float to all other locations as necessary.

Essential Functions

  • Answers multi-line phone in department throughout the day
  • Sends out-going referrals
  • Scans charts and correspondence
  • Sorts incoming faxes/sends outgoing faxes
  • Sorts all correspondence/reports and sends to providers
  • Pick up and deliver charts/interoffice mail
  • Orders charts for the copy service
  • Retrieves medical files as requested
  • Provides support to providers and clinic staff
  • All staff work very closely with each other to complete tasks assigned and maintain good communication, customer service, chart/information flow
  • Tracks medical forms for patients
  • Follows trained procedures 


  • Must have working knowledge of computer
  • Proficient computer skills to perform the job duties outlined in this job description
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professional telephone manner is essential
  • Have good command of the English language, oral and written
  • Be able to maintain confidential information
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology helpful
